Located on a plot of 40 acres of farmland in arid Central Oregon, the house is oriented Frankel to capture magnificent views of the Three Sisters mountains in the west and Mount Jefferson to the north. The house is built on a base of 30 inches above the ground plane exists and is organized around patios and sheltered outdoor living spaces. Two fireplace chimneys rise above the horizontal composition and provide a visual cue from a distance, and stucco clad pavilions that form the composition are tied together with glass passageways. A double alee Swedish Aspen entire length of the major element of the landscape and the relationship of the composition together.

The relationship most critical water-based and canyon wall was originally metaphorical for home improvement. Water is limited by topography and still needs an outlet. Each material yields and strength to the other. At each end of our canyon zinc, at the exit, a court would naturally form, to a hill and protected from the wind, the other to the west, hanging completely open to opinions and winds the Bay Area.
The walkways allow transparent views of the courtyard and roof lines accentuate the low concentration of the elements of the main building. Set perpendicular to the glass breezeway are two water features that appear to extend axially through the house and point out the view to the Bay Area. Hill punctuating the end of this axis of the water is an outdoor fireplace monolithic. Break the house into three separate units has allowed us to create three separate courses, both protected and open to an almost constant fog and onshore breezes of San Francisco Bay. The courtyard between the main house and guest house is adequately protected in the dusk comfortable eating much of the year. The exterior of the house is sheathed in alternating zinc shingles, recalling the artisan architecture a century earlier, or stucco. We designed steeply raked roof shed with deep eaves and delicate structural steel supports to give the home a distinctive look and provide outstanding outdoor protected area sufficient for the vast photovoltaic arrays that power the house.
The hardscape is minimalist white with concrete extending seamlessly inside the house and strips of granite stones set at the rate of the steel frame housing construction. The module construction of the house is literally met at the curb as you enter the first band of black granite cobblestones. Growth begins. Landscape plantings are set on a rack behind strict low retaining walls of Cor-ten steel and further extend the strong organization of the architecture of the building on the site.
